Minor gives birth to baby girl in Bahadurgarh; one booked

A 17-year-old girl gave birth to a baby girl at the civil hospital in the Bahadurgarh city police station area, police said on Saturday.

During a medical examination, it was found that the minor was pregnant and she delivered a girl.

Police registered a case against the accused, Rohit under Sections 64(2)(a) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 6 of the POCSO Act and an investigation was initiated.

The complainant told the police that the victim had known Rohit for about a year.
