“With the influence of the western disturbance having subsided and the absence of any active weather systems, the weather across the state is expected to remain predominantly dry for the next two days. Subsequently—and despite the possibility of light rainfall in the northern parts of the state—a significant rise in temperature of 6–8°C is anticipated this week; however, there is currently no likelihood of a heatwave occurring in the state during this period,” said Atul Kumar Singh, senior scientist at the Lucknow met office.

On Sunday, the state capital recorded maximum and minimum temperatures of 35°C and 25.6°C respectively. The forecast for Monday is a clear sky, with the maximum and minimum temperatures expected to be around 36°C and 25°C respectively.
