Last Tuesday of every month to be observed as ‘Nagrik Suvidha Diwas’ in Lucknow

Lucknow: In an attempt to provide a platform for Lucknow residents to communicate their civic complaints and get them resolved, divisional commissioner Roshan Jacob has directed different government departments to observe the last Tuesday of every month as the Nagrik Suvidha Diwas (Civic Amenities Day).
Speaking on his order, Jacob said, “Residents face many civic problems in day-to-day life. Sometimes, these problems are concerned with multiple government departments. In absence of proper coordination, it takes a lot of time to address these civic issues. Therefore, the proposed Nagrik Suvidha Diwas is an attempt to bring officials and residents under one roof so that issues are resolved swiftly.”
The officer added, “The Nagrik Suvidha Diwas meeting will be held between 10 am and 2 pm on the last Tuesday of every month at the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) office.” The different departments that would attend the Nagrik Suvidha Diwas meeting include -- Lucknow Municipal Corporation, Lucknow Development Authority, Jal Sansthan, Jal Nigam, Lucknow Electricity Supply Administration, Public Welfare Department, Housing Board, and Traffic Police. The divisional commissioner has asked the most senior officials of these departments to be present during the meeting.
