AGRA A motorcycle was burnt while the flow of traffic on the Agra road was disrupted on Sunday after a few young villagers from Etah’s Amar Gujia village allegedly misbehaved with the kanwarias passing by. Irked with their ‘misdemeanour’, one of the kanwarias torched a motorcycle. This led to a traffic jam on the road.
Swinging into action, cops from Kotwali Dehat police station rushed to the spot, pacified the two sides, and restored the movement of vehicles. According to police, those who misbehaved with the kanwarias are being identified.
“The incident unfolded when three village youths clashed with kanwarias, leading to a kanwaria retaliating by setting a motorcycle on fire,” stated Dhananjay Singh Kushwaha, additional superintendent of police in Etah. He added, “The situation has stabilised, yet the police maintain vigilance as a precautionary step. Legal action will be taken against those responsible for the misbehaviour.”
