Passengers’ patience ran out after an IndiGo flight from Pune to Delhi was delayed by more than three hours with many confronting the airline staff at the boarding gate leading to chaos at the Pune International Airport on Tuesday morning. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.

IndiGo’s Pune–Delhi flight (6E 6763), scheduled to depart at 5.05am, took off at 8.17am with many passengers seen shouting and complaining about the lack of communication.

One of the passengers on condition of anonymity said, “We were not informed in advance about the delay, nor were any alternative arrangements made. Several travellers missed their connecting flights from Delhi due to the prolonged delay.”

A statement released by IndiGo said, “We regret the delay to your flight. As checked, the delay is due to operational reasons.”
