Reel star Madhavi Rajesh Kumbhar and six others, arrested in an assault and attempt-to-murder case, were remanded in judicial custody till September 3 on Saturday.

Judicial Magistrate First Class M M Bage rejected the police’s request for three more days of custody. The seven accused were subsequently lodged at Yerawada Central Prison.
The accused are Madhavi Rajesh Kumbhar, 23, Snehal Sanjay Sonke, 20, Rahul Sitaram Waghmare, 20, Shivanand alias Shivraj alias Suchcha Siddhappa Talwar, 21, Aditya alias Aadi Sunil Bhalerao, 22, Priyanshu alias Piyush Pradeep Bhosale, 22, and Prem alias Pamya Manoj Salve, 22.
Deccan police arrested the seven on August 15 and secured custody till August 21. The FIR was registered under sections 109(1), 189(2), 189(4), 190, 191(2) and 191(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and section 4(25) of the Arms Act.
Three minors detained in the case had earlier been sent to an observation home.
Deccan police also arrested Flying Gypsy Cafe owner Hemant Anand Patil, 42, and manager Prem Deepak Patil, 21, on August 19 for allegedly destroying evidence.
Vaishnavi alias Siya Ravindra Bhaskar, 22, Vaibhav Madhukar Bhagwat, 21, and Samiksha Shailesh Shelke, 21, were arrested around 5.10pm on August 21 in connection with the case.
