Steve Smith (229*) and Mitchell Marsh (181*) stitched together an unbeaten 300-run stand to put Australia in pole position on Day 3 of the third Ashes Test in Perth. The English bowlers struggled to bag wickets on Saturday as Marsh and Smith sewed up a dominating partnership following the dismissal of Shaun Marsh. Earlier, the visitors rode on centuries from Dawid Malan and Jonny Bairstow to post a first innings total of 403. England, however, lost their last six wickets for just 35 runs with Mitchell Starc grabbing four wickets for the hosts.
