"Generators will be used for all the four light-towers at the Eden Gardens as main source of power. However, CESC supply will be there as back-up support," West Bengal Chief Secretary Asok Mohan Chakraborty told reporters after a meeting with all agencies involved with organising the IPL matches in Kolkata.

Five major agencies have already inspected the towers in Eden Gardens with one agency having been assigned the responsibility of looking after power supply in the tower, he said.

Besides Chakraborty, the meeting was attended by Home Secretary Ardhendu Sen, DGP Bhupinder Singh, city Police Commissioner Goutam Mohan Chakraborty, Cricket Association of Bengal President Jagmohan Dalmiya, Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner Jay Mehta and senior officials of CESC and PWD.

Describing the meeting as "cordial", the Chief Secretary said that the city police would take care of the law and order situation at the Eden Gardens and the adjacent areas.
