AB goes big
19.4 Bhuvneshwar Kumar to AB de Villiers: SIX! Genius you are AB de Villiers. Bhuvi just misses his length and that was enough for de Villiers to go straight and hit a six. RCB need 6 off 2 now.

Holder gets Shahbaz
18.4 Jason Holder to Shahbaz Ahmed: OUT! The luck runs out. No mistake by Williamson at mid-wicket. Holder is elated but what an important little innings from Shahbaz. He goes for 14 off 9 balls. RCB need 14 off 8 balls.
- 6 Oct 2021, 11:08:38 PM IST
Dropped
18.1 Jason Holder to Shahbaz Ahmed: DROPPED! Oh Bhuvneshwar Kumar what have you done? It was regulation at deep cover. But the reverse cup didn't work. The ball slipped out of his hands. In the end, he did well to stop the ball from going over the ropes. But Shahbaz survives and also gets a couple.

Another boundary for Shahbaz
17.5 Umran Malik to Shahbah Ahmed: FOUR! Outstanding batting by the left-hander. Malik, this time errs on the full length. Bowls a full toss and Shahbaz opens the face of his bat to get it over the point fielder and into the boundary. RCB now need 19off 13 balls.
- 6 Oct 2021, 11:04:28 PM IST
Shahbaz begins with a four
17.1 Umran Malik to Shahbah Ahmed: FOUR! Confident stroke by the young left-hander. That's always gonna be the risk with someone like Malik at the death. The batters can use his extra pace and get runs just like Shahbaz did on this occasion.

Padikkal falls
16.5 Rashid Khan to Devdutt Padikkal: OUT! Rashid Khan gets the important wicket of Padikkal for 41. It was not his day today. One could guess that. Wanted to clear the topes but didn't get the required connection to clear the big sqaure boundary. RCB 109/5
- 6 Oct 2021, 10:50:27 PM IST
Padikkal hits Rashid for a four
14.4 Rashid Khan to Devdutt Padikkal: FOUR! REVERSE SWEEP! The pressure was building on Padikkal. He needed to do something and brings out the reverse to get the all important boundary.

Maxell is run out
RUN OUT! Outstanding work by Kane Williamson. Glenn Maxwell goes for 40 off 25 balls. There was a mix-up between Maxwell and Padikkal. There was never a run there. But Williamson does a brilliant work. He got to the ball quickly and released it off balance to knock the stumps down. RCB 92/4 after 14.1 overs
- 6 Oct 2021, 10:44:43 PM IST
Good over from Bhuvi
Six runs from the Bhuvneshwar Kumar over. The more this game progresses, the more you get a feeling, that it's Maxwell who holds the key. RCB need 50 from 36 now with AB de Villiers still to come.

Decent over for RCB
13 overs bowled! Jason Holder gives away 9 runs - four of those were from an inside edge - but RCB's won't complain. The umpire signals for the strategic time out. They need 56 runs off 42 balls.
- 6 Oct 2021, 10:28:58 PM IST
Maxwell is in such form
11.2 Siddharth Kaul to Glenn Maxwell: FOUR! No Siddharth, you don't have the pace of Umran to bang in short and trouble Maxwell. The right-hander in fact, took a couple of steps forward and then hit the pull shot with disdain, he had so much time at his disposal. RCB 75/3

Maxwell breaks the shackles
Rashid Khan to Glenn Maxwell: SIX! FOUR! Maxwell has decided to after Rashid and so far he is finding success. The six was over long on and then the sweep shot was brilliantly adjusted and flicked with his wrists.
- 6 Oct 2021, 10:17:18 PM IST
Umran Express
Four balls above 150 km/h - the fastest one being 153 km/h - from that Umran Malik over. He hurried Maxwell and Padikkal both. This is exciting stuff from the the young right-arm seamer from J&K.

Maxwell goes big
7.3 Rashid Khan to Glenn Maxwell: SIX! Big one, it has to be if you are clearing the square boundary of this ground. 81m that six. He went for the big slog sweep, won't say he got the perfect connection but had enough to carry it over the deep mid-wicket fielder's head.
- 6 Oct 2021, 10:01:58 PM IST
IPL 2021: Umran Malik brought into the attack
Young gun Umran Malik, who clocked in excess of 140kph regularly against KKR and even touched the 150-mark, is introduced into the attack.
OUT! The extra pace has done the trick for the J&K pacer. He fires one around the ribcage area of Bharat and rushes him into the pull. The ball grazes the gloves of Bharat before being caught by SRH keeper Saha. He's gone for 12.
RCB are 38/3 after 7 overs.
Glenn Maxwell is the new man in.

SIX! KS Bharat smashes his first boundary of the day with an 89m six. Slower ball outside off, Bharat waits for the ball and one leg, he tonks the ball back over the bowler's head
FOUR! What a shot. Bharat is already making his intentions very clear. A skiddy delivery from Kaul, Kona Bharat rocks back and swivel pulls through deep mid-wicket for 4
A strong end to the powerplay, a dozen off it. RCB are 37/2
- 6 Oct 2021, 09:55:23 PM IST
Padikkal gets a boundary
4.4 Jason Holder to Devdutt Padikkal: FOUR! Not good from Holder. He slid down the leg side and all Padikkal needed to do was to out bat to ball and get four runs. The left-hander doesn't miss out. RCB 25/2

Kaul gets Christian
3.2 Siddharth Kaul to Dan Christian: OUT! Siddharth Kaul strikes! Dan Christian goes for 1. It was a slower ball. How many times have we seen a batter fall to a slower one in this IPL? Do the match. Christian wanted to flick to the on-side but ended up skying in to mid-off. RCB 18/3
- 6 Oct 2021, 09:44:09 PM IST
Padikkal shows his class
2.3 Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Devdutt Padikkal: FOUR! Superb shot from the left-hander. He made room and punched it through the covers to get his first boundary. That's where Padikkal in dangerous.

SRH lose their review
“Are you sure Jason?” asked Williamson before going for the review. Holder was pretty sure. He had appealed three times before being turned out. But as it turns out, the umpire was right. There was nothing from the bat. It cam off Padikkal's thigh pad that made the nose.
- 6 Oct 2021, 09:33:25 PM IST
Bhuvi gets Kohli
1 Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Virat Kohli: OUT! Bhuvneshwar Kumar gets Virat Kohli LBW for 5. It was the perfect in-swinger by Kumar. Kohli, as he so often does, walks across and missed it. The umpire had no doubts in his mind. Kohli turned towards Padikkal, who said ‘nyah, off you go skip’. RCB 6/1

What a start by Kohli
0.1 Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Virat Kohli: FOUR! SMASHED! What a shot to start off the chase by Virat Kohli. It was as if like, he had pre-decided that he would go after the first ball. It was length delivery from Bhuvneshwar, a tad wide and Kohli just smacked it through extra-cover.
- 6 Oct 2021, 09:28:12 PM IST
RCB chase begins

End of SRH innings
20 Harshal Patel to Jason Holder: OUT! Another wicket for Harshal Patel. SRH finish with 141/7. You simply can't stop him from bowling slower ones and get wickets from them. Holder, had no option but go for the big one but had no timing on that one. Good catch at long on by Dan Christian.
- 6 Oct 2021, 09:06:33 PM IST
Rashid Khan is away
18.2 Mohammed Siraj to Rashid Khan: FOUR! Nicely played! Clever shot! Outside off and shorter, this is carved over point and this one races away to the fence. Not sure if that is the right length, clever shot from Khan.

Harshal gets his man
17.2 Harshal Patel to Wriddhiman Saha: OUT! Wicket number 28 for Harshal Patel in this IPL. Saha is out for 10. Kudos to Harshal for sticking to his gameplan. He was unlucky to concede a boundary in the previous ball but he went back and bowled another slower and this time Saha skied it. SRH 124/6
- 6 Oct 2021, 09:00:21 PM IST
Lucky runs for Saha
17.1 Harshal Patel to Wriddhiman Saha: FOUR! Completely foxed Saha there with a slower one but the end result is a boundary with an inside edge. They all count.

Chahal gets Samad
15.1 Yuzvendra Chahal to Abdul Samad: OUT! Chahal traps Samad for 1. 3 wickets in seven balls and Hyderabad are in a spot of bother. A tossed up ball, full and around leg, it lands and spins away as well. Samad gets on his knee and looks to slog-sweep but misses it completely. He gets hit on the pads. They appeal for LBW but not given. Kohli has a word with Chahal before going for the review and Chahal convinces his captain there. Up comes the replay and it shows wickets hitting. SRH 107/5.

Double strike for Christian
15 Dan Christian to Jason Roy: OUT! Christian strikes again! Roy goes for 44. He was disgusted, couldn't believe his luck - mind you, he had plenty today. It was a slower one, Roy smashed it straight to the bowler. Christian, somehow managed to juggle and hold on to the return catch. SRH 107/4
- 6 Oct 2021, 08:40:30 PM IST
Christian gets Garg
14.1 Dan Christian to Priyam Garg: OUT! Christian strikes! Garg departs for 15. No timing on that one from the right-hander. It was a short one but appeared to have stopped on the pitch and Garg tried to play the pull shot but didn't get the desired connect and was holed out in the deep. SRH 105/3.

Jason Roys survives using a DRS
Yuzvendra Chahal to Jason Roy: Review! Jason Roy has reviewed this caught behind decision. The UltraEdge rolls in. But it has a flat line as the ball goes past the gloves. The umpire will have reverse his decision to not out.
- 6 Oct 2021, 08:34:56 PM IST
Garg goes big

Good one from Dan Christian
Good from Kohli. He saw that ball was stopping a bit and he threw the ball to Dan Christian, who is known to mix it up with lots of cutters and slowers and he stars well too. Five runs off his first over. SRH 96/2 in 13 overs.
- 6 Oct 2021, 08:26:42 PM IST
Harshal Patel gets Kane Williamson
11.3 Harshal Patel to Kane Williamson: OUT! BOWLED! Harshal Patel dismisses Kane Williamson (31). The slower one does the trick once again for Patel. Even the great Williamson can't do much about it. He was through his shot way too early and the ball sneaks through to hit the stumps. Important wicket for RCB. SRH 84/2.

Roy breaks the shackles
9.1 Yuzvendra Chahal to Jason Roy: FOUR! Short and wide from Chahal, just the opportunity Roy needed to break free. He slaps it past the two point fielders and once it got past the in-field, there was no stopping it.
- 6 Oct 2021, 08:12:51 PM IST
Shahbaz doing a fine job
3 overs 0/16 for Shahbaz so far. He has been very difficult to get away. And he nearly got Jason Roy out twice in this over. The luck was on the SRH opener's side. SRH: 67/1 after 9 overs.

- 6 Oct 2021, 08:01:23 PM IST
Pulled away by Roy
Harshal Patel to Jason Roy: FOUR! Marginally short from Harshal. He doesn't have the pace to trouble a batter of Roy's quality. He pulls it away with disdain and finds the gap too.

End of the powerplay

- 6 Oct 2021, 07:55:39 PM IST
Another four for Williamson
George Garton to Kane Williamson: FOUR! Not good from Garton. He has erred on the length, and also bowled on both sides of the wicket. This time he drifted down the pads and it was easy pickings for Williamson, who just tucks it away to beat the square-leg fielder to the boundary. SRH 43/1 after 5 overs.

Williamson looking a million dollars
George Garton to Kane Williamson: FOUR! Oh he is so so good to watch when he plays like this. Full and wide outside off from Garton and the SRH skipper times it through covers for his third boundary. Just poetry in motion.
- 6 Oct 2021, 07:51:02 PM IST
Roy hits his first four
George Garton to Jason Roy: FOUR! A one-handed swat from Jason Roy and that's enough. Garton once again starts the over with a full toss and Roy somehow finds the gap between cover and mid off to collect his first boundary.

Williamson off the mark
Mohammed Siraj to Kane Williamson: FOUR! A touch of genius there. Hold the pose for as long as possible Kane. That deserves all the photographs in this world. Siraj bowls it full and wide, searching for the away swing, there was none and it met Williamson's sublime cover drive. Would have been four in any form of the game.
- 6 Oct 2021, 07:40:11 PM IST
Garton gets Sharma
George Garton to Abhishek Sharma: OUT! No one was dropping this one. A rather easy catch for Glenn Maxwell at mid on. Garton strikes in his first over. The Abhishek Sharma experiment doesn't work well for SRH. Sharma went through with his shot early and got a top edge. He goes for 13. SRH are 14/1 after 1.5 overs

Abhishek Sharma is away
George Garton to Abhishek Sharma: FOUR! SIX! Sharma played four dot balls in the first over and then immediately shifts gears in the next over. Hits a full toss from Garton for a boundary and follows that up with a splendid six over long off.
