Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Sunrisers Hyderabad in their final match of the season, courtesy a brilliant partnership between Shimron Hetmyer and Gurkeerat Singh Mann. SRH now depend on the result of the match between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders - if KKR win they are through to the playoffs, but if Mumbai Indians get the better of KKR, SRH will march on owing to a superior NRR.
“I suppose there are a number of fine lines, our last two matches could’ve gone either way but we ended up on the wrong side. But that’s T20 cricket for you. It is one of those things now, we have to sit and wait, things are not in control which is a shame. Fingers crossed, lets see how it goes tomorrow,” SRH captain Kane Williamson said after the match.
