James Anderson on Friday created history by becoming only the third fast bowler ever and sixth overall to take 500 or more Test wickets.

When Anderson got through the defence of West Indies batsman Kraigg Brathwaite on the second day of the ongoing Lord’s Test, he joined the likes of former Caribbean pacer Courtney Walsh and Australia’s Glenn McGrath among the fast bowlers who have taken 500 wickets and more. (ENG v WI Day 2 report)
Anderson is the only England bowler to have touched this mark, and the English cricket fans are now hopeful that one of the best seamers in the history of the sport will at least try and go past Glen McGrath’s tally of 563 Test wickets.
Former cricketers and experts came together to wish Anderson on his historic feat.
Day 3 of the final Test match between England and West Indies at Lord’s will begin later today.
