Pujara became only the third Indian batsman to score two double tons in Tests versus Australia. VVS Laxman and Sachin Tendulkar are the other Indian players to have achieved this feat. Ravindra Jadeja chipped in with a vital fifty as India ended up with a 152-run lead. With the ball, Jadeja wrecked havoc as he picked up two wickets as Australia ended the day on 23/2.
