India’s limited-overs opener Rohit Sharma completed a successful surgery on his right upper quadriceps tendon at a hospital in London on Friday.
Rohit Sharma took to Twitter to give fans an update about his injury which he sustained during the fifth and the final ODI against New Zealand in Vishakhapatnam on October 29.
“All went well. Thank you for your good wishes. Can’t wait to be back at it,” tweeted Rohit Sharma.
On Saturday, the BCCI confirmed Rohit Sharma’s surgery on his right thigh on Friday. “The procedure was successful and Rohit will be discharged from the hospital in the next 24 hours. BCCI medical team is constantly monitoring his treatment and will oversee his recovery, towards becoming match fit,” the BCCI said.
