Yesteryear cricketer Vinod Kambli is not new to controversies. From 'doubting' decisions made during the 1996 World Cup semifinal to claiming that he was 'deeply hurt' when Sachin Tendulkar didn't mention his name in his farewell speech, Kambli has ruffled enough feathers in the past.
The latest from his controversy stable is a series of tweets abusing cricket commentators Navjot Singh Sidhu, Ramiz Raja and Shoaib Akhtar.
He berated Sidhu saying if he were to face Sidhu, he would've given it to him left and right for reciting poetry instead of giving commentary.
He didn't stop there, he went ahead and made hateful comments against Akhtar and Raja saying why do we need to broadcast "Pakistanis" who abuse Indians on local Television channels.
He later deleted the series of tweets for which he received immense flak and said that it was a friend tweeting from his account. He added that he has "fired" this friend of his.
