Board Exams 2021 Live Updates: Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal on Tuesday said that it is not possible to conduct board examinations till February, 2021. The board exams were usually conducted between the month of January and March. However, this year, due to pandemic, the exams will be delayed a bit. The minister was interacting with teachers to respond to their queries and suggestions regarding the upcoming board exams. “We will analyse the situation after February and then decide upon the dates of board exams,” he said. He further said that it is not possible to conduct the board examination in online mode. is interacting with teachers via webinar to discuss upcoming board exams.. Interested teachers can share their queries and share suggestions regarding upcoming Class 10 and 12 board exams 2021 with the minister on social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook using the hashtag #EducationMinisterGoesLive.The webinar will be broadcast live on his Twitter handle @DrRPNishank and Facebook Page @Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank. The minister will also address the queries of teachers regarding the board exams. On December 10, education minister had made some important announcements regarding the upcoming JEE Main 2021 exam, while interacting with students. Currently it is not possible to conduct the board exams in online mode, the minister said responding to a suggestion of one teacher.

‘Education in India shifted to online mode overnight amid pandemic’

“With the help of teachers, we could shift the whole education system to online mode amid pandemic. We also launched ‘One Class One Channel’ via DTH service through which lakhs of students were benefitted. Teachers worked day and night to teach their students online. We have also partnered with All India Radio to broadcast educational programmes on radio,” the minister said.

‘Manodarpan’ need of the hour: Education Minister

“‘Manodarpan’ initiative was launched amid the Coronavirus related lockdown to deal with students who are suffering from anxiety and depression. Students faced a major transition in their life when the schools and colleges were shut down and no one was advised to step out and meet their friends. It could have affected the mental status of many. After the suggestions from teachers, we decided to launch an online ‘Manodarpan portal’ through which students can directly interact with experts and psychologists online and discuss their problems. Over 500 experts were available 24 hours every day for the students. Now, over 300 experts are actively dealing with the students’ issues,” the minister shared.

Over 5 lakh teachers trained for online teaching by CBSE, KVS, JNV, NVS during pandemic

CBSE trained over 4 lakh 80 thousand teachers for online teaching from April to August. KVS trained over 15 thousand and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya trained over nine thousand teachers. Online evaluation training was also provided by NVS, the minister shared.

‘Over 2.6 lakh middle schools will provide vocational education from class 6 onwards under NEP’

8583 schools are providing vocational studies from class 6th onwards. New Education Policy has provision for vocational studies from school level along with internship. Under NEP we will ensure that over 2.6 lakh middle schools in India will provide vocational stream education from class 6th onwards, education minister said responding to a suggestion from a teacher for introducing vocational education from class 9th.
