CBSE UGC NET July 2018 detailed notification soon: Official website

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will release the detailed notification for University Grants Commission’s (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET) 2018 soon.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will release the detailed notification for University Grants Commission’s (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET) 2018 soon. The board has in a notification said that the detailed notification will be available on the website cbsenet.nic.in soon.

The board had earlier released a short notification regarding the exam with details about the date and revised scheme, changed age limit for applying and the opening and closing date for applying.

Here are the details from the short notification about July 2018 UGC NET exam:

2) Revised scheme of the exam

a) There will be two papers instead of three. Paper 1 will be a general aptitude test to assess the candidate’s teaching and research aptitude. The one-hour paper, from 9.30am to 10.30am, will be of 100 marks, with 50 questions of two marks each.

b) Paper 2 will test candidates on the subject they have chosen. It will be of 200 marks and carry 100 objective type compulsory questions each of two marks. The duration of this paper will be two hours, from 11am to 1pm.

3) The upper age limit for appearing in the Junior Research Fellowship or JRF exam has been increased from 28 years to 30 years.

4) The application process will begin on March 6 and close on April 5. The fee can be paid until April 6.

The exam is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for the posts of assistant professor and Junior Research Fellowship.
