Delhi University Admissions 2020 Live Updates: Online application process begins, check first cut-off list here

DU Admission 2020: The online application process for admission to undergraduate courses in Delhi University colleges under the first cut-off list has begun. Candidates will have to apply online at UG-Admission portal at du.ac.in. This year, the admission process is completely online, due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Students will have to chose the courses and colleges in which they want to study. DU offers admissions to over 70,000 undergraduate seats in around 65 colleges affiliated to the varsity. Delhi University on Saturday has released the first cut-off list for all colleges including Lady Shree Ram College, Hindu College, Hansraj College, SRCC, Kirori MalCollege, Ramjas College etc. Last year, the first cut-off list was released on June 28. However this year, in the view of the nationwide coronavirus lockdown and the subsequent delay in board exams and their results, the academic session has got delayed. This year, the admission process will be completely online. Candidates will have to visit the official website of Delhi University and click on DU Admission Portal.

Visit the official website at du.ac.in

Click on the Admission Portal tab

Then click on the UG- Admission Portal link

Key in your registered email ID and Password and login

A dashboard will appear

Proceed and choose your preferred courses and colleges.

DU cutoff 2020: BA English Hons highest cutoff at 99% in Miranda House, LSR

BA (Hons) in English, the highest cut-off announced by Miranda House and LSR at 99%. LSR has also announced the highest cut-off for BA (Hons) in History is 99.5% and BCom (Hons) at 99.75%.

DU cut-offs are 0.5-2% points higher than last year

The cut-offs across colleges this year are 0.5-2 percentage points higher than the last year. In 2019, the highest cut-off was announced by Hindu College for BA (Honours) in Political Science at 99%.

DU Cutoff 2020: 100% cutoff after 5 years

This is after a gap of five years that colleges in DU have announced a cent per cent cut-off. In 2015, two colleges – College of Vocational Studies and Indraprastha College for Women – had fixed their cut-offs at 100% for BSc (Honours) in Computer Science.

100% required for three courses at LSR college

According to the first admission cut-off list released by Delhi University on Friday, 100% marks is required for three courses at Lady Shri Ram College for Women. The three courses for which 100% is required for admissions are BA (Hons) Psychology, BA (Hons) Political Science and BA (Hons) Economics.

The minimum cut-off percentage of marks (first admission list) at which admissions to various courses have been offered by different DU colleges have been released. The eligible candidates, who have met the requirements notified in the first admission cut-off list, should complete their admission process within the stipulated time, as notified earlier on the university website.
