The KEAM examination took place across the state on April 23 and 24, 2018. The commissioner for entrance examinations-Kerala, which conducted the examination, published the scores of candidates who appeared for the KEAM engineering and pharmacy entrance examinations in May.

While 58,268 of 90,233 students cleared both the papers of the Engineering Entrance Examination, 47,974 of 64,795 students qualified in the Pharmacy Entrance Examination.

The engineering rank list is prepared by giving equal weightage to the marks obtained in the Engineering Entrance Examination (Paper I and Paper II put together), and the grade/marks obtained for mathematics, physics and chemistry/computer science/biotechnology/biology put together in the final year of the qualifying examination, after effecting the standardisation procedure. The marks of the final year of the qualifying examination (Plus Two or equivalent) was only considered for preparation of Engineering Rank list.

The rank list for B Pharm course is prepared on the basis of the index mark calculated as follows: The chemistry score obtained from the paper-I of the Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination was multiplied by 2.25 and added to the physics score obtained from Paper-I of the Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination. The sum so obtained was multiplied by a factor 2/3 to calculate the index mark for ranking the candidates for B.Pharm course. The maximum index score is 480.

The rank list(s) published by the CEE should not be used by any person/institution/ authority other than CEE for the purpose of admission to any professional course(s) without prior written permission of the Kerala government.
