ISC 2017 results: Kolkata’s Ananya Maity is Class 12 topper 2017

The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) on Monday declared its ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) examinations results on its official website, www.cisce.org

Kolkata’s Ananya Maity emerged as the topper in the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) ISC (Class 12) board exam on Monday.

A student of the Heritage School, Maity scored 99.5% to lead the list of toppers.

Aayushi Srivastava, City Montessori, Lucknow, Dinesh Lakhotiya, Saint Xavier Collegiate School Kolkata,
Rishika Gariwal Jamnabai School, Juhu Mumbai, Srikanth, Scottish High International School, Gurgaon,
were all ranked second, with scores of 99.25% in Class 12.

About Maity, the principal of her school, Seema Sapru, said she was “Delighted. I cannot tell you how happy I am. She is a wonderful child. She’s not only brilliant, in academics but also in creative writing. What’s more, she’s down to earth and well behaved.”

“She has an inclination for creative writing. She also loves to play the piano. Needless to say, she devoted a number of hours in studies,” Ananya’s father Chinmoy Kumar Maity, a doctor, told HT. Her mother is a teacher.

Candidates can check their results by clicking on the ‘Results 2017’ link on the Council of Indian School Certificate website - www.cisce.org or through SMS.

The results are available to students through mobile texts, besides the council’s website and careers portal.
