Indian National Congress's U.T.Abdul Khader got a total of 80,813 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's Santhosh Kumar Rai Boliyaru secured 61,074 votes. Janata Dal (Secular)'s candidate K.Ashraf secured 3,692 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 54.4%, 41.1% and 2.5% respectively.
