Madhya Pradesh Election 2022: Valsad Assembly Seat

In the 2017 Gujarat Legislative Assembly Election, there were 7 candidates in the fray from Valsad constituency. Valsad was one of 99 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. It was a one way contest with Bharatiya Janata Party's Bharatbhai Kikubhai Patel comfortably winning the election upstaging Indian National Congress's Tandel Narendrakumar Jagubhai by a huge margin of 43,092 votes.

96.5% of votes were split between top 2 candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Bharatbhai Kikubhai Patel secured a total of 1,01,736 votes, while Indian National Congress's Tandel Narendrakumar Jagubhai got 58,644 votes. Independent candidate Patel Chetankumar Mangubhai grabbed 3,973 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 61.2%, 35.3% and 2.4% respectively.
