After a year's sabbatical from film production, AB Corp is back in business and has supposedly joined hands with UTV to produce Shoojit Sarkar's next film after Yahaan.
Confirming the news Sarkar says, "Yes, I've been signed by AB Corp to direct a film for them but I'm clueless about the deal with UTV."
Together again
The buzz is that Sarkar's film will bring Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan back on screen, six years after Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001).
Sarkar however refuses to divulge details about his cast. All he will be prodded into revealing is, "Amitji is there in the film."
A year ago, Sarkar was supposed to direct a film for Percept Pictures titled Johnny Walker with Bachchan in the lead. The film traced the story of the protagonist from his teenage years to old age, concentrating on his 25 years of married life.
It was to have ended with the couple re-discovering love in later years. It was reported at the time that Bachchan was keen to co-produce the film. The project was however subsequently shelved. Is it the same?
Apparently, Sarkar is making the same film but he won't admit it. All he'll say is that "it is the story of an old couple and is true to life". Yahaan was set in Kashmir. This time Sarkar has opted to shoot in Shimla.
According to reports, he was screen testing for the character of a prostitute some days ago.

Amitabh Bachchan didn't respond to our SMS while UTV declined to comment.
