Actor Kareena Kapoor unveiled her wax statue at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, Blackpool. Her mother, actor Babita, accompanied her. However she wanted beau Saif Ali Khan to be there too. “I wish he was here. But he has to finish work on Agent Vinod. I sent him the first picture of the wax double” beams Kareena.
Understandably, the next Nawab Of Pataudi was excited about his ladylove’s wax twin. “Saif said, ‘Oh my God! The statute looks super hot,’” laughs Bebo. “It’s my mother’s achievement too. She had tears in her eyes when she saw my wax figure.”
The much-hyped wax statue’s look has been taken from the actor’s 2007-hit, Jab We Met. “Geet is an iconic character in my career. Officials at Madame Tussauds wanted a look that everyone just goes crazy about,” Kareena reasons. Apart from unveiling the statue, Kareena also attended the premiere of Shah Rukh Khan’s RA.One in London with the actor-producer, and villain Arjun Rampal. “Shah Rukh asked me to have my statue placed next to his,” giggles the actor. “I’m the youngest Bollywood face in the group that includes biggies like Shah Rukh and Amitabh Bachchan.”
