Satyajit Desai, who was covering a party on invitation, was beaten-up by bouncer Prateek Chavan for clicking pictures of models in swimwear.

"Desai and freelance photographer Dasharath Kadam were allegedly attacked by a bouncer at Hotel Sea Princess in Juhu yesterday. The Santacruz police have registered the case against the security guard. Desai had been assigned to cover a poolside party hosted by a liquor company. He had with him the invite sent by the organiser, requesting the paper to cover the event," reports Mid Day.

Seeing Desai taking pictures of bikini-clad models, Chavan started abusing him. When Desai retorted why he was being stopped from doing his job, the bouncer attacked him and Kadam who came to his rescue. "He attacked us, injuring us," Desai told the tabloid.

The two went to police station and lodged a complaint, following which the bouncer was detained.

"I am aware that the bouncer attacked the photographer. I have also given my statement to the police," Kamran Shaikh, PR of the event, told the tabloid.

Don’t miss the many photographers present in the background in the image on the left above. They seem to be clicking away uninterrupted. Wonder why Satyajit Desai was singled out and targeted? There could be more than one truth in this story. Classic case of ‘more than meets the eye’ eh?
