A popular poultry brand misunderstood actor Kareena Kapoor’s food preferences that also reflect in her endorsements. The officials from the company approached her to endorse their ready-to-use, packaged raw chicken and eggs for which they were willing to shell out a few crores. They didn’t realise that the once-meat eater has converted into a strict vegetarian since the last couple of years now. The actor refused to endorse the brand.
Sources close to Bebo reveal, “The officials thought that since she has eaten non-vegetarian food as a kid and while growing up, she would be cool to endorse the brand, even though they were aware of her current food preferences. She met them just once and told them categorically that they had come to the wrong person, and even a few crores can’t lure her to become a face of the poultry company.”
The source also adds that another reason the actor refused the endorsement deal is her personal belief in every product she attaches her name to. “She detests promoting brands that she doesn’t believe in,” adds the source. On being asked to comment, Kareena Kapoor’s spokesperson says, “It’s not something we’d like to comment on because it’s unprofessional to talk about anything that Kareena has dissociated herself with. Please keep us out of this.”
