Talent hunts on television may soon be passe as industry stalwarts like Madhur Bhandarkar, Suniel Shetty, Anu Malik and Saroj Khan have come together as mentors to pick the best from country's first online database for entertainment talent, Ab Meri Baari.
One just needs to upload a video showcasing his or her talent in the field of dancing, acting or singing and if it attracts the mentors, the contestant would be called for audition and screen tests.
"It is a great platform for the people to get noticed without going to a audition. Not everyone can pack their bags and come to Mumbai leaving everything behind especially people in the interiors of our country," Bhandarkar, the brand ambassador of the website said.
"It is also convenient for us in the industry. We hire various casting agencies but here we have a database where we can look for talent ourselves. It is open to all with various opportunities in TV, Bollywood and regional film industry. I have always gone for fresh talent and will be looking out for more through the website," Bhandarkar told PTI.

"Entertainment is a growing industry which is constantly in need of talent. Its about time we opened the doors for one and all to come and get a practical evaluation of their skills and then move forward," Bedi said.
