Filmmaker Mohit Suri and actor Udita Goswami will tie the knot in a temple wedding on Tuesday after a seven year relationship. Udita says that this was the second time Mohit popped the question to her. “He proposed to me four years back, but at that time, I wasn’t ready. In fact, even he wasn’t ready. He asked me because he really wanted to marry me. This time, he did a lot of things...he tattooed my name on his ring finger and got his family to speak to mine,” she says.

The actor also reveals that Mohit had decided to marry her the first time he saw her. “He was in the editing studio when my film Paap was being worked on. He saw me there and said, ‘this is the girl I want to marry’,” she laughs.

The couple is hosting a mehendi ceremony on Monday followed by the wedding on Tuesday. There will also be a post-wedding bash on Thursday. “I am wearing a western style sari for the party and a red lehenga at the wedding. We will have a very simple ceremony. We are only inviting our close friends. We didn’t really want to waste our time and energy for the sake of PR, thinking that if we invite certain people, it will get us work,” she says.
