Instagram seems to be full of butts of all shapes and sizes that are covered in glitter. ‘Glitter booty’ as this new trend is called, is the idea of artist Mia Kennington, who drew inspiration from the sandy-butt look which you get after lounging on the beach. Kennington belongs to The Gypsy Shrine, a group of professional face painters, body painters and hair stylists that travel all over the world. Their last festival was held in the Sahara Desert and the next one shall be in U.S.A.

Photos of Kennington’s glittery experiments are all over Instagram. Maybe she’s following the footsteps of Richard Pryor who once said,

“I ain’t no movie star, man. I’m a booty star.”

Maybe the world truly is turning into a bizarre place.
