When we recently spoke to designer Masaba Gupta about her being MIA from the Delhi fashion scene, she gave us news that her fans would love to lap up: She will be showing in Delhi on October 15, during the upcoming India Fashion Week, that kicks off at NSIC Grounds on October 12.
“It has been two years since I showed in Delhi. When I asked myself why, I realised maybe because it was just more convenient doing shows in Mumbai since I shifted back here. But, I have been wanting to come back to Delhi for a while now. Last year, because of the wedding, I got busy, and couldn’t do everything in terms of work. I also felt like Delhi sort of forgot me...But now, I am back, and I want to do one show in Delhi every year. I am excited to make a comeback,” says the 26-year-old.
“For the collection this time, we are doing our signature prints, including a range which is all-gold. And, the silhouettes are very young and edgy, the kind of stuff that girls want to wear on an evening out. We have distinct segments that we will be doing. So, while we will have the kind of shift dresses like we have done in the past, there will also be interesting bell bottoms paired with a kurtis, and a lot of stuff like that,” says Masaba.
