On her wedding day, actor Kareena Kapoor is going to honour her would-be mom-in-law and how! Kareena, who will tie the knot with actor Saif Ali Khan on October 16 will sizzle in the sharara that Saif’s mom Sharmila Tagore wore at her wedding 43 years ago.

Buzz was that designer Ritu Kumar would modernise the heavily embellished sharara for Bebo, as Kareena is popularly called. However, dismissing the rumour, Sharmila says, “She (Kareena) will wear my joda as it is. Nothing is being contemporarised.”

According to reports, Bebo’s favourite designer Manish Malhotra will put together her bridal wardrobe. The actor will also wear a Rs 40-lakh necklace designed by Rajkot-based Kruti Jewellers.

“It’ll be a simple registered marriage at Pataudi’s ancestral palace in Haryana, followed by a reception in Mumbai for close friends and family members,” a source close to Saif Ali Khan revealed. Both Bebo and Saif, however, maintained silence on their wedding plans.
