When we visited Casa Vito on a weekday, we were surprised to see several people (couples only, the place has a no stags policy) waiting to get inside the eatery cum nightclub. The place has two sections, one of which is a lounge that houses a huge dance floor, a well-stocked bar, Chesterfield sofas, bar stool seating and a huge screen where live sports events are telecast. The in-house DJ plays English trance and techno music till 11pm,
post which Bollywood hits take over. Post 8pm, the lighting arrangement changes too.

The second section, which is an open air rooftop seating, is where we settled for the evening. Surrounded by Bandra high-rises, the area has comfortable sofa seating as well as high stools. Hookah is also
served here. Our first order comprising Fish Aajoni Tikka (Rs 699) and Chicken Seekh Kebab (Rs 350)
were served in minutes, considering the place was packed. While the fish chunks in the former dish, marinated with yoghurt and garlic paste and flavoured with ajwain, were fresh and tender, the latter was succulent, and the taste stayed with us long after.

Casa (house in Spanish) Vito (derived from the Latin word Vita, meaning life), is the brainchild of 26-year-old restaurateur Aniket Waghmare. Situated in a busy part of Bandra (W), the place seems to have become popular among the younger lot. One of the reasons for this could be the pocket friendly alcohol prices (some of the drinks are available on MRP), which is hard to find in the queen of suburbs. The restaurant staff is attentive and the food delivery prompt. Overall, the joint is ideal for someone looking to dance the night away, and then chill in the cool terrace breeze or vice versa.
