Parvathy unhappy with Ms World jury

Omanakuttan was one of the top 5 finalists chosen from 109 contestants at the Sandton Convention Centre and lost the crown to Miss Russia. Soon after the event she told TV news channel India Vision: “I have performed better than others in the personality and question-answer round. This is not just. All those who watched it yesterday felt like that. I feel the jury’s decision was unfair.”

However, she soon backpeddled and said, “I don’t know where this news has sprung up from. I didn’t say anything of that sort. I admit that I was confident and that not winning was a disappointment, but I am not the person to talk about the final decision. I have been getting calls enquiring about this since morning,” she says.

So there’s no crying foul then? “No, it doesn’t make any sense. The decision has been made.” she says. “There is no point in clarifying anything - even if I go ahead and say something or do something, there will be a set of people who will classify my behaviour as that of a loser’s perspective. But I have not lost anything,” she says addressing her critics.

Controversy apart, will she go down the Bollywood route like her predecessors? “Bollywood is not something I want to take immediate action on. But if good offers come, I would certainly be considering them,” she says.
