According to a complaint filed by a buyer, managing director of SS Group Sukhbir Singh Jaunapuria, who is also a BJP MP from Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan and former MLA of Sohna in Gurgaon, has been accused of submitting fake documents to get 10 acres in Ghasola village in the city. Jaunapuria allegedly procured the land, part of Sector 49-50 in Gurgaon, during his term as Sohna MLA in connivance with senior officials of the town and country planning department.

“I will listen to both the parties. The law will take its own course,” lokayukta justice Pritam Pal said.

The findings regarding the “illegal” release of land came to the fore in a probe conducted by SS Lambba, registrar at the office of the Haryana lokayukta in Chandigarh. The probe was conducted based on a complaint by advocate RN Yadav, who bought 13 plots in the colony which, according to him, has not yet been developed.

According to Yadav’s complaint, when authorities of the Haryana Urban Development Authority sought answers from Uppal Housing, the main stock holder of the project, it blamed SS Group for not developing the land. Uppal Housing also withdrew from the project and got a new licence by adding more land to tits share.

After this, SS Group was left with only 32.56 acres, leading to the cancellation of its licence. In 2007, it company was given another licence for 10 acres against the policy of minimum 100 acres, Yadav alleged.

“While getting 10 acres land released was illegal, the builder also submitted fake documents to mislead the authorities,” Yadav said.

“The fact remains that the segregation of licence of M/s Uppal Housing Private Ltd etc, license granted to SS group of companies had to be cancelled and thereafter grant of another licence of 10 acres against the policy without complying to the minimum 100 acres was also illegal,” the probe report submitted by registrar SS Lambba pointed out.

Jaunapuria said he will come with facts before the lokayukta. “It’s been more than 15 years since I got the licence. I don’t know why this matter is coming up now. We will submit evidences to prove that we have not fabricated any documents,” he said.
