While we have ample information on how to get our make-up done just right, tips to take them off in the right way are quite limited.
Although there are several products in the market that cater to removing specific kinds of make-up (eye make-up, foundation, glitter etc.), some natural products like coconut oil can be safely used as an all purpose make-up remover or cleanser.
Dr. Raina Nahar, MD, a dermatologist and cosmetologist practising at Nanavati Super Speciality Hospital, Mumbai, suggests the following natural ways to remove make-up:
1. Baking soda scrub
Add baking soda to raw honey and a few drops of coconut oil and whip it into a paste, apply with warm washcloth.
2. Oil cleansers

{{/usCountry}}Add equal portions of jojoba oil and vitamin E oil (tocopherol) or add a tablespoon of almond oil to a bowl of raw milk to make cleansers.
Avocado oil and coconut oil by themselves can be used to remove make-up. However, they should be used carefully by those having skin disorders or acne prone skin.

3. Beeswax jelly
For stubborn eye make-up, use beeswax jelly. It is a healthier alternative to petroleum jelly.
4. Witch hazel
Witch hazel is perfect for removing powders and foundations, and also acts as an astringent.

5. Cucumber paste
Cucumber paste can be used a cleanser. You can also add some milk or olive oil optionally to this paste.
6. Yoghurt
Take some yoghurt on a clean cotton wad, and use it in circular motion as a gentle scrub for your face.
7. Steam
Steam opens up pores and helps to flush out the grime and make-up.
