According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film made 7 crore on Saturday (nett) for a gross total of 16.02 crore. The film beat out local competition, which came in the shape of Diljit Dosanjh’s hockey film, Soorma. The biopic on the life of Indian hockey star Sandeep Singh has made 8.25 crore in two days and saw a bigger day-to-day upward trend than Ant-Man 2.

Ant-Man and the Wasp’s international roll-out is being staggered because of the ongoing FIFA World Cup. The film opened in the US on July 13 and will be released in several European territories next week. The film has so far made $190 million worldwide on a reported budget of $162 million.

Marvel’s next film will be February’s Captain Marvel, which will be followed by Avengers 4 in May.
