Before Barack Obama was the President of the United States, he was a regular guy, just ike us. Now, the first images from a movie called Southside With You, inspired by the first date between Obama and his wife-to-be Michelle have surfaced online thanks to THR.
Obama was very vocal about about his first date during the last Presidential campaign trail, frequently mentioning that they went for Spike Lee's Do the Right Thing and kissed outside a Baskin Robbins.The film will trace the couple through a romance-filled evening as they slowly get to know each other and visit locations around Chicago, much like Richard Linklater's Before Sunrise.

Obama thanked Lee for heping him 'impress' Michelle after they watched the classic film. The images themselves are not very descriptive aside from the generic romance movie aesthetic they seem to be embracing. The actors, although not uncanny in their physical similarities to the subjects, are close enough.
