Brad Pitt is under investigation for getting verbally and physically abusive with his children, a new TMZ report suggests. This is also being cited as the reason behind his divorce from Angelina Jolie.
The report says that Pitt is under investigation by the LAPD and the LA County Dept. of Children and Family Services for getting abusive with his kids after an altercation last Wednesday.
Sources tell TMZ that Pitt and his family were on his private jet when the actor allegedly got drunk and created a scene, which was witnessed on the tarmac after they landed.
The report goes on to say that it is routine for the LAPD to get involved in such cases and the incident was reported by multiple witnesses anonymously to the LA County Dept. of Children and Family Services.

{{/usCountry}}It was this incident that triggered Jolie to separate from Pitt the very next day and file for divorce on Monday.
TMZ also quotes a source close to Pitt: “He takes the matter very seriously and says he did not commit any abuse of his children,” adding, “It’s unfortunate that people involved are continuing to present him in the worst possible light.”
