Coldplay’s Chris Martin jams with Ricky Gervais for new movie

Ricky Gervais is bringing his popular character David Brent back! And he has roped in Coldplay frontman Chris Martin to work on the music.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin is teaming up with Ricky Gervais to work on the soundtrack for the comedian’s new film about David Brent, Life on the Road.

Gervais tweeted a photo of the pair in a recording studio, showing the Coldplay frontman grinning for the camera, reported Radio Times.

“Still buzzing from our first studio session this week recording the David Brent soundtrack album. Too much fun,” Gervais wrote on Twitter.

“I’m so excited about all the new characters and new situations that Brent has to contend with. He’s the same old Brent at heart but everyone evolves through their life and not always in a good way,” Gervais said.

The film soundtrack marks the second time the comedian and Martin have teamed up, after they worked together on Gervais’ star-studded comedy series Extras.

Life On The Road is due for release in August, 2016.
