The first official images from the upcoming Stephen King adaptation The Dark Tower have been released online by Entertainment Weekly.

Speaking about his role in the film, The 46-year-old Interstellar star said that they didn’t want the character of Walter to be “overly fantastic,” reported Femalefirst. “Well, he is a man, actually. They wanted to go very human and grounded with this. Obviously, there are mythical proportions of good and evil in Walter.”
“In the beginning of the story Roland is kind of a lost soul. All he’s thinking about is killing the Man in Black, his arch nemesis,” Arcel told EW. “He’s all about revenge. He’s all about trying to track down this man who has hurt him throughout his entire life. Taken away his friends. Taken away like his father, his mother. Everybody. The love of his life... So this is where we find him. He’s a man blinded by the longing for revenge.”
