Leonardo DiCaprio’s Russian fans seem to be hoping for the best, but also preparing for the worst as they are leaving no stone unturned to make the actor win an Oscar for his performance in The Revenant.

As part of an Oscar for Leo campaign, his crazy female fans from the Yakutia region are melting down their valuable gold and silver jewellery and trinkets so that they can create the Oscar statuette for the 41-year-old actor, the Independent reports.

In an interview with a news channel, a teacher from the Arctic State Institute of Culture and Arts, Tatiana Egorova, revealed that some women donated only half a set of jewellery, while kept other half in an attempt to feel closer to the actor.
