Contrary to popular belief, the scene filmed on April 3 is not an old sequence written by the late Neeraj Vora. Fans had speculated that the makers were simply using leftover material, but we now have official confirmation that the promo was freshly conceived by none other than the OG king of comedy Priyadarshan himself, with a screenplay by Rohan Shankar.

The legendary trio — Akshay, Suniel, and Paresh — came together for this sequence at Aarey Mills in Mumbai just yesterday, setting the internet abuzz and sparking excitement about the film’s return.

While full-scale production on Hera Pheri 3 has yet to begin, this information offers a promising glimpse of what’s to come, and makes it official that Priyadarshan is back at the helm of the franchise he helped turn into a cult classic.

Priyadarshan has acknowledged the pressure that comes with reviving such a beloved series, saying, “It is going to be very challenging to make the third part because there will be too many expectations. Characters have gotten older and accordingly people should believe… these are important things. I am taking it as a challenge. Let’s see how it works.”
