Malvika Raaj Bagga, who played a young Kareena Kapoor Khan in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), recently shared that she is expecting her first child with husband, entrepreneur Pranav Bagga.
“I was like, ‘What? Am I really going to be a mum?’” Malvika recounts her initial reaction. “It also took time for Pranav to comprehend and believe the biggest news of our lives. For a while, we were just staring at each other, and then we laughed until we both got a bit emotional.”
Malvika reveals that the pregnancy was a pleasant shocker, as they weren’t expecting it to happen so soon. The couple got married in Goa in 2023. “Of course, we both cannot wait any longer for our little bundle of joy to come into our lives, but on day one, we were more shocked and clueless,” she admits. “It’s been a little over three months now, so I can say that I am slowly chasing a beautiful dream.”
Adding to the actor’s joy is the outpouring of love and attention from their family. “The way I am being pampered, I am just loving it,” she beams with joy. “Though the first three months, like for any would-be mother, were full of challenges, now that I am in my second trimester, I feel more prepared and confident about my pregnancy.”

{{/usCountry}}Malvika emphasises the importance of prenatal care, alongside healthy eating and managing cravings. “We joined a wellness retreat when we were travelling to Thailand two weeks back,” she shares, adding, “I think for new mothers, prenatal care like yoga, breathing exercises, and following a wellness regime is a must so that they are prepared to take on all the ongoing challenges as well as the ones in store
