    ‘People are asking if Arvind Kejriwal is above the law of land’: Anurag Thakur slams AAP leader

    Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur on Thursday slammed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for not appearing before the Enforcement Directorate and said people are asking if the Aam Admi Party leader is above the law of the land.

    Talking to reporters here, Thakur said Kerjiwal is "scared to appear before the ED".

    "One after another, scams keep coming out. Leaders of the AAP have been in jail for more than a year. Arvind Kejriwal has an equal role in all these scams. People are asking is Arvind Kejriwal above the law today? Why is he so scared to appear before the ED?" Anurag Thakur asked.

    AAP, Kejriwal epitome of corruption: Anurag Thakur

    Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Thursday said Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and the AAP, which came to power by claiming to be the champions of honesty, have now emerged as an "epitome of corruption".

    Thakur's remarks came after Delhi Lt Governor recommended a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into alleged irregularities in the Kejriwal-led Delhi government's mohalla clinic initiative.

    "Arvind Kejriwal ji and his government, which came into politics by declaring themselves as the champions of honesty, have now descended into the epitome of corruption," Thakur told reporters.

I want to ask on what basis is she making this prediction? ED raids are confidential. Arvind Kejriwal wants to create a farce where he wants to create an atmosphere that he will be arrested. He wants ED to investigate him and come to his residence to arrest him."

    Amidst claims made by the AAP, security around the Delhi Chief Minister's house has been further heightened.

    "All the laws of the country apply to him equally as they are to common citizens. Kejriwal is a very special person who presents himself as common. He is suffering from VVIP syndrome", Bansuri Swaraj said.
