Chancellor Ram Nath Kovind had recently removed Mishra as BRABU registrar on administrative grounds, including inefficiency, indiscipline and non-adherence to orders of superiors.

He was also accused along with director of directorate of distance education (DDE) Shivji Singh and DDE administrative officer Lalan Singh for filing wrong affidavit in court about M Phil course under distance mode, without the chancellor’s approval .

Both the DDE officers were suspended by Raj Bhawan two days after the removal of Mishra.

Incumbent BRABU registrar Ajay Kumar Shrivastav said KS Jha, dean, humanities, would head the committee, constituted on Thursday, following a strong note from Raj Bhawan.

The committee would also review decisions taken by former vice chancellor (VC) Pandit Prabhakar Palande during his last three months in office, Shrivastav said.

The Raj Bhawan had earlier taken cognizance of complaints against Palande, Mishra and DDE officers, raising queries on many points, especially on commencement of M Phil courses under distance education mode without chancellor’s approval.
