Singer Mika Singh, who was detained in United Arab Emirates following a sexual harassment complaint, was released late night following efforts by Indian embassy, ANI reported.
“Following efforts by the embassy, singer Mika was released at 11.30 pm. He will be produced before a court today,” ANI reported quoting Indian Ambassador to UAE Navdeep Singh Suri said.
According to Republic TV, a 17-year-old Brazilian girl had accused him of sending an inappropriate picture.
According to sources, the singer was detained at 3 am last night from Bur Dubai.
Mika had gone to Dubai to perform at a Bollywood event.
Earlier this week, the ‘Aaj Ki Party’ singer took to his Instagram account to share a video from Dubai. “Hey Dubai.. I’m in your city and it’s the 1st time I’m here to attend the most popular awards the Masala Awards. See you tonight!” he wrote in the caption, according to ANI.
