Local media reported that the fire is believed to have originated in the mobile phone accessories painting unit of the company located in Uddanapalli, near Nagamangalam, around 5:30 am. Thick smoke soon engulfed the area, causing panic among workers and local residents. Several fire engines were dispatched to evacuate the employees from the site, and no injuries have been reported so far.
At the time of the incident, approximately 1,500 workers were on duty for the first shift. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
