Three people were killed after the car they were travelling in collided head-on with a truck on National Highway-62 near Netewala village in Rajasthan’s Sriganganagar district on Friday afternoon.

Deputy superintendent of police Bhupendra Soni said the accident took place around 3.30 pm on the Sriganganagar-Sirohi stretch of NH-62 in the Chunawadh police station area.
The impact reduced the car to a mangled wreck, trapping all three victims inside.
Police identified the deceased as Monu Verma (25) and Kuldeep Singh (25), both residents of Beenjhbayala village, and Pradeep Loona (23), a resident of 48 LNP village.
The bodies were badly trapped inside the wreckage. Locals pulled them out before the police reached the spot.
A medical team from the district hospital conducted the necessary examination before the bodies were sent for postmortem. Police have launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the crash.
