The Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday lashed out at the Congress over the brutal killing of a man after being mowed down by a tractor in Rajasthan, where the grand old party is in power.
A man was mowed down by a tractor during clash between two groups over a land dispute in Bayana in Bharatpur district. The police detained five people and are searching for the absconding accused and also waiting for complaint from the victim.
The incident came into light the day Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is campaigning in the state. Union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat took to social media platform X and posted,"The incident of a man being mowed down by a tractor in broad daylight in Bharatpur's Bayana is horrifying. Since the matter was under police cognisance, then questions being raised are obvious. It is a condemnable incident, and a result of criminal and anarchist mentality arising under Gehlot government's tenure. Jhoothi Congress, Jhoothi Priyanka (Congress and Priyanka are liars)".
Rajasthan's leader of opposition Rajendra Singh Rathore said,"The criminals are so fearless that they release video of the crime. The incident of Bharatpur is a blot on humanity. The system and the DGP are not able to do their work properly and that is why the criminals are fearless... Priyanka Gandhi says 'Ladki Hoon, Lad Sakti hoon', but she did not even fight with her MP who said that rapes are taking place because it is a land of men"
“She has neither condemned any incident nor has she visited any place of such incidents... Now, that the report card is in front of the people and their departure is confirmed, she is coming here making her points, but before that, she should speak on crime against women in Rajasthan”, he was quoted by ANI as saying.

BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said,"A video is viral from Bayana of Rajasthan's Bharatpur where a person named Nirpat was murdered by running a tractor over him... It is not just about the murder of one person...this is about the whole of Rajasthan, it is about all Congress-ruled states".
“Priyanka Vadra is reaching Rajasthan today... I demand her to visit that village before addressing the rally. She should go there and suspend the police officials, DM, SP and show that she has the courage to take a stand and she is not just for speeches and sloganeering. She has to project that she has a spine... This is a call to Priyanka Vadra... I challenge her to go there first”, Patra added.
