After a fast track court denied Uttar Pradesh teen rape victim permission for medical termination of pregnancy (MTP), her father reached Allahabad on Monday to submit a revision petition in the high court against the fast track court order.

After submitting an affidavit in the case, advocate VP Dhyani, representing the victim, said, “The affidavit will be used to file the revision petition tomorrow (Tuesday).”
Earlier, the victim’s appeal for MTP had been turned down twice by a lower court in Bareilly on July 26 and the fast track court on August 3. Assistant district government counsel Suresh B Sahu said the court turned down the appeal based on Section 3 of MTP Act. “The court has nothing to say in such matters.”
But Dhyani said they required a decision from the court as the case is sub judice.
