The man was arrested way back in 1967 when he was 30-years-old. Now, he has grown old and is still unable to understand what his crime is.

Interestingly, Yadav's bail plea has been rejected by a trial court because all his records are missing from the police records.

When Additional sessions Judge, Faizabad, Lal Chandra Tripathi recently sought records from the Khandaga police station, where the case was allegedly registered the police reverted stating its inability to provide details of the case. Some civil liberty groups have decided to move the Supreme Court to free Jagjivan from prison.

Jagjivan desn't know why he has been kept in jail when police has nothing to prove against him. However, sources reveal that way back in the 60's, Jagjeevan was arrested for allegedly killing his neighbour's wife.
